Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is targeting a possible first-quarter 2027 launch for a citizenship by investment programmer, with Prime Minister God-win Friday outlining an approach centred on stronger oversight and more extensive due diligence.
The Ministry of Finance’s published account presents the initiative as a programmer under development. The proposed timing remains tentative.

Friday has outlined a proposed CBI model centred on stronger due diligence, government oversight and regional coordination.
Prime Minister Sets Out the Government’s Direction
NBC Radio’s report of 15 October 2026 places the announcement in an interview between Friday and Television Caribbean’s Andre Huie.
The discussion followed a World Bank meeting on infrastructure project implementation during the IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.
NBC reported that the government hoped to introduce the programmer during the first quarter of the following year. The report describes a launch ambition rather than an operational application process.
Due Diligence at the Center of the Proposed Model
According to the Ministry of Finance, Friday envisages a programmer involving more extensive due diligence, closer management by the government’s own unit and coordination within the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States.
He also identified a monitoring role for the central bank. A consultancy is working on the programmer’s design, including adjustments intended to address concerns raised by international partners.
Investment Terms Remain Unpublished in the Announcement
The publication does not set out minimum investment amounts, application fees, processing periods or a complete eligibility framework.
Those details will determine how the proposed programmer can be assessed alongside other citizenship options. For now, the announcement offers a policy direction and a possible launch window, rather than final application terms.
